About Us

Our vision is a nation where mankind and animals  can live together in harmony with mutual love and respect and where every life is valued.

Royal Society for Protection and Care of Animals (RSPCA) is an established CSO under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty the Queen Mother of Bhutan, Ashi Tshering Yangdon Wangchuck.

Our aim is to ensure the welfare of all animals in Bhutan. We do this through education about the plight of animals in our country and by working with all relevant stakeholders whose roles help insure successful outcomes on behalf of the animals.

RSPCA manages an Animal Welfare Treatment Center in Serbithang, known as the "House for the Downtrodden." There are currently 68 dogs on site, along with two cows, a bull and a donkey., with ocassional sick and injured animals taken in.
